[National fiscal education expenditure as a percentage of GDP has exceeded 4% for ten consecutive years] ⑴ A relevant official from the Ministry of Finance stated that the educational level of the entire population continues to improve. ⑵ By the end of 2024, the proportion of national fiscal education expenditure to GDP has remained above 4% for more than ten consecutive years. ⑶ During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, national fiscal education investment is expected to exceed 25 trillion yuan, a 38% increase over the 13th Five-Year Plan period. ⑷ The level of education at all levels will reach or exceed the level of middle- and high-income countries. ⑸ By 2024, the compulsory education consolidation rate will reach 95.9%, and the gross enrollment rate in higher education will exceed 60%. ⑹ The average years of education for the working-age population will reach 11.21 years, an increase of 0.41 years from the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
