[China Merchants Port's container throughput increased by 5.6% year-on-year in August] ⑴ According to an announcement from China Merchants Port, container throughput reached 18.312 million TEUs in August 2025, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%. ⑵ Cumulative container throughput for the year reached 136.886 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%. ⑶ Container throughput at mainland terminals reached 14.515 million TEUs in August, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. Overseas terminals saw throughput of 3.352 million TEUs in August, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%. ⑷ Bulk cargo throughput reached 110 million tons in August, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. Cumulative bulk cargo throughput for the year reached 843 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%.
