Julius Baer: ECB expected to cut rates in December] Julius Baer expects the ECB to cut rates in December and acknowledges the risk of reduced easing and an early end to the monetary policy easing cycle, economist David Meier said in a report. "Given the current neutral policy stance, with the deposit rate at 2.00%, and no need to shift to a more accommodative policy, we maintain our view that the next ECB rate cut will be in December," he said. Meier said that since the ECB is still expected to cut rates twice in total, the risks to Julius Baer's view seem to favor the possibility of further delays in rate cuts, reduced policy easing, or the complete end of the monetary policy easing cycle.
