ECB's Nagel says further rate cuts could jeopardize price stability: ECB Governing Council member Joachim Nagel said further cuts in borrowing costs could jeopardize the ECB's medium-term inflation target of 2%. The Bundesbank president said Thursday's decision to keep the deposit rate unchanged was because the ECB's new forecasts showed price growth was "broadly" in line with the target. "Further rate cuts could jeopardize that goal," he said.
