ECB Governing Council member Joachim Nagel said further cuts in borrowing costs could jeopardize the ECB's medium-term inflation target of 2%. The German central bank president said the deposit rate was kept unchanged on Thursday because the ECB's new forecasts showed price growth was "broadly" in line with the target. He also said that "further rate cuts could jeopardize this goal."
