On the evening of the 12th local time, the 54th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders' Meeting closed in the Solomon Islands. The joint communiqué issued after the meeting showed that the leaders reached a number of consensuses on key issues such as climate change, regional peace and security, and economic development. In order to cope with the increasingly complex geostrategic environment, the leaders issued the "Blue Pacific Peace Declaration" advocating the maintenance of regional peace and stability through dialogue and consensus. The Pacific Islands Forum was established in 1971 and currently has 18 members. It is an important regional political and economic cooperation organization in the region.
