"2 billion kWh, from an energy perspective, is approximately the annual electricity consumption of 1.07 million households in Daqing City; from an environmental protection perspective, it is equivalent to reducing the burning of 600,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.07 million tons." The person in charge of the New Energy Division of Daqing Oilfield Company introduced that the oilfield's new energy power generation is all "derived from" self-consumption new energy projects, and the "green electricity" generated is directly transmitted to the oilfield power grid for daily production such as oil production, water injection, and gathering and transportation systems. While helping the green development of the oilfield, it saves a lot of external electricity costs.
