[International Energy Agency: Low-Emission Hydrogen Projects Face Headwinds but Still See Strong Growth] The International Energy Agency (IEA) released its "Global Hydrogen Assessment 2025" report on the 12th, stating that despite multiple headwinds, low-emission hydrogen projects are expected to continue to grow strongly through 2030. The report notes that due to factors such as high costs, uncertainty about demand and regulation, and slow infrastructure development, low-emission hydrogen development has fallen short of industry and government targets in recent years, with a recent wave of project delays and cancellations. However, strong growth is projected through 2030. By then, annual production from projects already in operation, under construction, or with final investment decisions is expected to increase more than fivefold from 2024 levels, exceeding 4 million tons. If effective policies are implemented to ensure demand, an additional 6 million tons of annual production capacity could be added by 2030.
