Lesotho will send a high-level trade delegation consisting of cabinet ministers, industry leaders, and union leaders to the United States this weekend to urge a reduction in tariffs that are severely impacting the country's vital textile industry. A spokesperson for Lesotho's Ministry of Trade stated that the negotiations aim to begin with zero tariffs, which was the status Lesotho enjoyed before the new US policy was implemented, and that tariffs could be reduced to below 15% for the benefit of employers and workers.
