The draft economic framework document shows that Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo commit to working with the United States and other countries to reduce risks in the minerals sector. Rwanda and Congo will commit to adopt external transparency mechanisms for minerals, including OECD guidelines. Congo and Rwanda will establish a steering committee and working groups to implement the economic framework. Rwanda and Congo will hold annual high-level regional economic integration summits.
