National Bureau of Statistics: In August, total retail sales of consumer goods reached 3.9668 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%. Of this total, retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles reached 3.5575 trillion yuan, a 3.7% increase. From January to August, total retail sales of consumer goods reached 32.3906 trillion yuan, a 4.6% increase. Of this total, retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles reached 29.2643 trillion yuan, a 5.1% increase.
