Goldman Sachs: India's Mass Consumption Recovery Has Begun. Goldman Sachs analyst Arnab Mitra stated in an interview on Monday that recent factors, such as tax and interest rate cuts, will "further fuel" the recovery of mass consumption in India. Mitra maintains a "very positive view" on the consumption recovery and is seeing positive signs of a rebound in demand. He noted that the consumer goods sector, which previously lagged behind sectors like jewelry and hospitality, has begun to see growth. Consumer goods companies should see stronger "revenue and earnings growth." Goldman Sachs believes that US tariffs will not have a significant impact on India's consumption growth.
