[TSMC rose 1.7% to hit a new high, Nvidia plans to launch the A16 advanced process for the first time] ⑴ TSMC (TSM.US) rose 1.7% to $265 in pre-market trading on Tuesday, and is expected to hit a record high after the opening. ⑵ According to news, Nvidia plans to be the first to adopt TSMC's most advanced A16 process for mass production in the second half of next year. This process will be used for its next-generation Feynman architecture chip and will introduce back power supply technology for the first time. Compared with the previous generation process, the A16 process can improve performance by 8-10% at the same voltage and reduce power consumption by 15-20% at the same performance. This marks the first time that AI applications have dominated the iteration of TSMC's most advanced process. ⑶ In addition, MediaTek's first system-on-chip (SoC) based on TSMC's 2nm process has completed tape-out and is scheduled to be officially released at the end of 2026
