[China's Shale Gas Trial Production Record Set] Sinopec announced today that two wells in its Ziyang shale gas field in the Sichuan Basin have each achieved test production exceeding one million cubic meters, setting a new record for shale gas production in my country. One of these record-breaking wells achieved a daily test production of 1.407 million cubic meters. The developed gas reservoir is located in the Cambrian system, dating back 540 million years, making it the world's oldest shale formation explored on a large scale and representing a new type of shale gas.
