Hubei: Accelerating the Development of a National Highland for the Artificial Intelligence Industry and Focusing on Implementing "AI+" Application Scenario Demonstration Projects. On the morning of September 16th, a special training session for key city and department-level leading cadres across the province, as well as a collective (expanded) study session of the Provincial Party Committee's Theoretical Study Center Group, was held. Wang Zhonglin, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. He emphasized the need to seize the strategic opportunity of data-driven development of the artificial intelligence industry, strive to build a national highland for the development of the artificial intelligence industry, and provide strong support for accelerating the establishment of a key strategic fulcrum for the rise of the central region. Wang Zhonglin emphasized that we must firmly grasp the key tasks of data-driven development of artificial intelligence, focus on implementing innovation-driven leading projects, promote the concentrated efforts in advantageous fields such as deep learning general-purpose chips, storage and computing integrated AI chips, automotive-grade smart cockpit chips, and three-dimensional flash memory, break through key common technologies such as 6G networks, large-scale model infrastructure innovation, and multimodal data processing, and promote artificial intelligence innovation to achieve a leap from "following" to "leading"; focus on implementing basic support and capacity-enhancing projects, strengthen computing power, algorithms, and data support, accelerate the construction of national node projects such as the National (Wuhan) New Internet Exchange Center, build an ecologically open, application-led artificial intelligence industry public service system, and strive to create a data element flow in central China. Connect hubs and build a data-strong province; focus on implementing industrial agglomeration and cultivation projects, give full play to the powerful role of artificial intelligence in driving industrial transformation, empower traditional industries to "transform into smart and digital", the development and growth of emerging industries, and forward-looking layout of future industries, promote the in-depth and practical integration of real and digital, and provide strong support for the development of new quality productivity and the shaping of new development momentum and new advantages; focus on implementing "artificial intelligence +" application scenario demonstration projects, promote high-quality development in manufacturing fields such as high-end optical chips, metaverse, autonomous driving, and low-altitude flight, improve the governance efficiency of social fields such as government services and urban governance, and innovate new scenarios, new models, and new business formats in people's livelihood fields such as education, medical care, elderly care, and childcare, and continuously meet the people's yearning for a better life.
