John Lee said that Hong Kong will cooperate with exchanges in the Greater Bay Area to develop new businesses such as commodity trading and carbon trading. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange is the controlling shareholder of the Qianhai United Trading Center and will continue to strengthen cooperation between the two places and develop the offshore soybean spot market. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange's carbon market CoreClimate will also conduct research and trials on cross-border transaction settlement with the Greater Bay Area pilot carbon market.
