Shanghai: Four Warnings in High Temperature (Orange), Heavy Rain (Blue), Thunderbolt (Yellow), and Gale (Yellow) Valid: At 12:58 PM on September 17th, the Shanghai Meteorological Observatory updated the high temperature warning from a yellow to an orange warning. High temperatures are expected to exceed 37°C in Minhang, the central urban area, and Pudong today. The yellow warning has been updated to an orange warning. Please be vigilant against the adverse effects of high temperatures on industrial and agricultural production and human health, and ensure safety in production, firefighting, and electricity use. The Shanghai Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning for heavy rain at 12:49 PM. Short-term heavy rainfall exceeding 35 mm per hour is expected in most areas of the city over the next 12 hours. Please be vigilant against urban waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall, and ensure drainage and flood control measures in low-lying and flood-prone areas. The Municipal Flood Control Headquarters has simultaneously activated a Level IV flood and typhoon response citywide.
