[CATL's Zeng Yuqun: The actual operating life of some energy storage projects is less than 25% of the promised time] The 2025 World Energy Storage Conference was held in Ningde on September 17. At the opening ceremony of the conference, Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of CATL, pointed out that the current development of the energy storage industry still faces challenges, including false product parameter labeling and false advertising. Many companies have not focused on R&D, but have been fussing about product parameters and making arbitrary decisions about warranty life. Judging from the results of commissioning, the actual operating life of some projects is far less than promised, even less than 1/4 of the promised time, or 25%.
