[South Korean Feed Giant Makes Move! 65,000 Tons of Corn Quietly Secured] ⑴ Nonghyup Feed (NOFI), a leading South Korean feed producer, conducted a private transaction for approximately 65,000 tons of corn last week. This purchase was not conducted through an international tender, demonstrating market flexibility. ⑵ Detailed pricing information for this purchase indicates that approximately 45,000 tons were purchased at $231.75 per ton cost and freight (C&F). The remainder was purchased at a premium of 170.50 cents per bushel (C&F) to the Chicago December corn futures price. Both transactions included an additional port discharge surcharge of $1.50 per ton. The transaction was conducted by the trading company POSCO. ⑶ The corn is expected to arrive in South Korea around January 5, 2026. For corn sourced from the US Pacific Northwest, the shipping period is November 27 to December 16. For corn sourced from South America, the shipping period is November 2 to November 21. This transaction reflects dealer assessments, and additional price and quantity estimates may be available in the future.
