After the Federal Reserve decided to cut interest rates by 25 basis points, U.S. Treasury futures rose. Traders expect that the October and December meetings will cut interest rates by another 50 basis points. The U.S. Treasury yield curve as a whole fell by 2-3 basis points. The 2s10s spread steepened and returned to near flat after the announcement of the resolution. The Overnight Index Swap (OIS) linked to the Federal Reserve meeting showed a dovish turn. It is currently expected that the October and December meetings will cut interest rates by nearly 50 basis points, while the expectation before the announcement of the resolution on Wednesday was 44 basis points.
