"It's interesting that while Waller and Bowman were vying for the Fed chair position, they both held the consensus, while the newest member, Milan, outpaced them with a more dovish dissenting opinion of 50 basis points," said Chris Zaccarelli, chief investment officer at Northlight Asset Management. "They may be trying to portray themselves as the more dovish members of the Fed, who want a 25 basis point cut but don't see the need for a big, harsh cut."
