[Japan's Nikkei 225 index hits an intraday record high, boosted by technology stocks] Japan's Nikkei 225 index hit an intraday record high on Thursday, led by technology stocks, but the recent strength of the yen has dragged down exporters and the gains have been limited. The Nikkei 225 index rose 0.3% in early trading to 44,938.40 points, and hit 45,055.99 points at one point, surpassing the record set earlier this week. The Topix index fell 0.1%. There were 81 stocks that rose in the Nikkei index and 137 stocks that fell. The biggest gainer in the index was Resonac Holdings, which rose 8.7%, followed by Screen Holdings, which rose 4.8%. Tokyo Electric Power Co. fell the most, down 4.4%, followed by Tokyo Gas, which fell 4.1%
