[ANZ: Bank Indonesia's decision highlights the priority of economic growth] ANZ Asia economist Krystal Tan pointed out in a research report that the Bank Indonesia's decision to cut interest rates shows that it is focusing more on economic growth and improving the effectiveness of monetary policy. The bank's monetary policy statement showed a stronger growth-oriented forward guidance, and its wording changed from "monitoring the room for interest rate cuts" in August to "using the existing space" to implement further easing. Tan said that the statement emphasized that bank lending rates urgently need to be lowered, pointing out that high credit rates are still the key factor inhibiting credit growth.
