Japan National Tourism Organization: 3.428 million foreign tourists visited Japan in August, a 16.9% year-on-year increase. Estimated data released by the Japan National Tourism Organization on September 17th indicated that the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan reached 3.428 million in August, a 16.9% increase from the same period last year, setting a new record for August. For the first eight months of this year, the cumulative number of foreign tourists reached 28.3836 million, an 18.2% increase from 24.0084 million in the same period last year.
