[CITIC Securities Mingming: It is expected that the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates by another 50 basis points cumulatively this year] In the early morning of September 18th, Beijing time, the U.S. Federal Reserve announced after the two-day monetary policy meeting that it would lower the target range of the federal funds rate by 25 basis points to between 4.00% and 4.25%, in line with market expectations. Mingming, chief economist of CITIC Securities, said that the Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates by another 50 basis points cumulatively this year, and the U.S. policy interest rate may be between 3.5% and 3.75% by the end of the year. Mingming believes that historical experience shows that under the influence of the Federal Reserve's loose monetary policy, major global asset classes tend to benefit from the expansion of liquidity and perform well. Equity assets represented by A-shares may benefit the most, and tend to perform better in interest rate cut cycles; bond assets represented by Chinese bonds tend to show a bull trend following the policy interest rate.
