Slovakia's current account deficit narrowed in July. (1) Slovakia's current account deficit narrowed to €484.1 million in July 2025, an improvement from €493 million in the same period last year. (2) The improvement was primarily driven by a sharp narrowing of the goods account deficit to €121.7 million, compared to €216.2 million in July 2024. (3) However, the services account surplus declined to €27.6 million, down from €54.7 million in the same period last year. (4) During the same period, the primary income deficit widened to €270.1 million, up from €216.8 million in the previous year; the secondary income deficit rose slightly to €119.9 million, compared to €114.7 million in the previous period.
