[Russian Oil Companies Call for Accelerated Development of Hard-to-Recover Reserves] (1) Gazprom Neft CEO Dyukov stated that Russian oil companies need to accelerate the development of hard-to-recover reserves to avoid falling behind in OPEC+ production increases. (2) He emphasized that in the long term, in order to achieve the strategic goals of new energy and maintain or increase production, more active promotion of hard-to-recover reserves and efficient utilization of remaining reserves are necessary. This requires coordination between industry and government, as well as national support. (3) Dyukov noted that one possible measure is to promote the application of chemical production enhancement technology. Currently, some projects are being implemented where economic conditions permit, but wider implementation still requires support from the Ministry of Finance.
