Huawei's Atlas 950 Supernode May Lead Nvidia in Computing Power, Significantly Surpassing Key Metrics. (1) In his speech at the All-Connect Conference on Thursday, Huawei's Rotating Chairman, Eric Xu, noted that supernodes have become a core form of large-scale AI computing infrastructure. He emphasized that the Atlas 950 supernode will maintain its position as the world's most powerful supernode for many years to come, with core performance surpassing mainstream products in the industry. (2) By comparison, compared to Nvidia's NVL144, which will be released in the second half of next year, the Atlas 950 supernode card is 56.8 times larger, with 6.7 times the total computing power, 15 times the memory capacity (1,152TB), and an interconnect bandwidth of 16.3PB/s, 62 times that of Nvidia. Even compared to Nvidia's NVL576, scheduled to be released in 2027, the Atlas 950 maintains a leading advantage in all metrics. Reportedly, the supernode supports 8,192 Ascend cards and is scheduled to be officially launched in the fourth quarter of 2025. Eric Xu expressed Huawei's confidence in providing sustainable and sufficient computing power for the long-term development of artificial intelligence.
