On the afternoon of October 20th local time, a large-scale power outage occurred in Santiago, the capital of Chile, affecting about hundreds of thousands of residents. According to local media reports, the power outage affected at least 10 administrative districts in the metropolitan region, such as Providencia, Santiago Center, Maipu, Quinta Normar, Central Station, La Florida and Puente Alto, and also caused some lines of the Santiago Metro to be blocked.
