A-Share Midday Market Review: Shanghai Composite Index Reclaims 4,000 Points, Hitting a New High Since August 2015. The three major indices rose collectively in early trading. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.21%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.52%, the ChiNext Index rose 1.35%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index fell 0.27%. Half-day trading volume in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing totaled 1.3595 trillion yuan, down 216.5 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 3,000 stocks rose across the board. In terms of sectoral themes, Fujian, cloud office, CPO, military equipment, airports, port shipping, and quantum technology-related stocks led the gains, while coal mining and processing, Shenzhen state-owned enterprise reform, precious metals, wind power equipment, beauty care, and steel sectors led the declines. Fujian local stocks continued their strong performance, with Dahua Intelligent and Pingtan Development hitting the upper limit for four consecutive days, Fujian Cement and Strait Innovation hitting the upper limit for two consecutive days, and Xiamen Airport and XCMG shares hitting the upper limit. CPO computing hardware stocks surged intraday, with Zhongji Xuchuan, Xinyisheng, and Foxconn Industrial Internet reaching new all-time highs. Quantum technology stocks continued to be active, with Western Superconducting reaching a new intraday high, while Electronic City and Geer Software hit their daily limit. Meanwhile, several stocks in the coal sector adjusted, with Dayou Energy hitting its daily limit, followed by Yunmei Energy, Haohua Energy, and Shaanxi Black Cat. The precious metals sector also saw adjustments, with stocks like Zhaojin Gold, Hunan Silver, and Xiaocheng Technology declining.
