[The cumulative transaction amount in the digital RMB pilot areas has reached 14.2 trillion yuan] It was learned from the People's Bank of China that after years of steady progress, the digital RMB ecosystem has been initially established, and innovative applications and scenario construction have continued to deepen. As of the end of September 2025, the cumulative transaction amount in the pilot areas has reached 14.2 trillion yuan. It is understood that the digital RMB pilot currently covers 26 areas in 17 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and has formed a replicable and popularizable application model in the fields of wholesale and retail, public services, social governance, and rural revitalization. As of the end of September 2025, the pilot areas have processed a total of 3.32 billion transactions and opened 225 million personal wallets through the digital RMB App. (CCTV News)
