U.S. Consumer Confidence Hit Lowest Since April, Economic and Job Market Outlook Declined. U.S. consumer confidence declined for the third consecutive month in October as consumers' views on the economic and labor market outlook deteriorated. Data released Tuesday showed that the Conference Board's consumer confidence index fell to 94.6, the lowest since April, from a revised 95.6.
