[Huang Renxun responds to OpenAI's preparation for IPO] Microsoft and OpenAI announced a restructuring agreement on Tuesday that will allow the ChatGPT maker to break away from its non-profit roots and potentially go public. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that given the huge amount of money required to train and build the artificial intelligence system that supports ChatGPT, an initial public offering (IPO) is the company's most likely path in the future. When asked about the news at the GTC conference on Tuesday, Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun said: "I wish we would have invested more earlier. If you told me OpenAI would go public next year, I would not be surprised. In many ways, I think this could be one of the most successful IPOs in history."
