[10.57 Million New Urban Jobs Created Nationwide in the First Three Quarters] The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security announced today that from January to September, 10.57 million new urban jobs were created nationwide, achieving 88% of the annual target, and the employment situation remained generally stable. In the first three quarters, a total of 19.6 billion yuan in job stabilization subsidies were distributed nationwide, and 16.6 billion yuan was spent on training and other employment promotion expenditures. One-time job creation subsidies of 900 million yuan were distributed to 140,000 enterprises, benefiting 600,000 college graduates and other young people. As of the end of September, the number of people participating in basic old-age insurance, unemployment insurance, and work-related injury insurance nationwide reached 1.074 billion, 248 million, and 304 million, respectively. From January to September, the total revenue of the three social insurance funds was 6.69 trillion yuan, and the total expenditure was 6.04 trillion yuan, with a cumulative balance of 9.85 trillion yuan at the end of September. As of the end of September, the number of people holding social security cards nationwide reached 1.39 billion, covering 98.9% of the population, of which 1.1 billion used electronic social security cards.
