[China-Laos Railway Transports Over 70 Million Tons of Goods] According to the China Railway Kunming Bureau Group, since its opening, the China-Laos Railway has, as of October 28, operated 63,000 freight trains, transporting over 70 million tons of goods, including 16 million tons of cross-border freight, radiating to 19 countries and regions. Especially this year, both freight volume and cross-border freight volume have maintained strong double-digit growth, making the China-Laos Railway a golden route connecting domestic and international markets, radiating to surrounding areas, and mutually beneficial. This year, the China-Laos Railway has transported a total of 19.88 million tons of goods, a year-on-year increase of 25%. Among them, cross-border freight reached 4.47 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%. Exports increased by 400,000 tons, with significant increases in exports of vegetables, fertilizers, and steel, with increases of 45%, 71%, and 26.6% respectively. Imports increased mainly in fruits and food products, with fruits reaching 50,000 tons and food reaching 100,000 tons, with increases of 35% and 67% respectively.
