[Sweden's Q3 Economic Growth Exceeds Expectations] ⑴ Preliminary data shows that Sweden's economy grew by 1.1% quarter-on-quarter in the three months ending September 2025, a significant acceleration from the previously revised 0.1%. ⑵ This is the fastest economic expansion since the first quarter of 2023, exceeding market expectations of 0.8%. ⑶ Matthias Kane Wyatt, an economist at Statistics Sweden, pointed out that the accelerated economic growth was mainly driven by strong performance in August. ⑷ On an annualized basis, GDP grew by 2.4%, higher than the expected 1.6%. ⑸ This is a significant improvement from the previously revised 0.9% growth rate, marking the strongest annual growth since the fourth quarter of 2021.
