The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the morning of October 29th local time, stating that, following a series of strikes against dozens of "terrorist targets" and "terrorists" under the direction of the political leadership, the IDF has begun to resume enforcement of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The IDF stated that it will continue to abide by the ceasefire agreement and will resolutely respond to any violations. The IDF indicated that in this round of strikes, in conjunction with the General Directorate of National Security (Shin Bet), it targeted 30 terrorists holding command and leadership positions within terrorist organizations operating in Gaza.
