[US Crude Oil Inventories Approaching Crisis! Gasoline and Diesel Inventories Plunge, Triggering Supply and Demand Alarm] ⑴ A survey indicates that US crude oil inventories are expected to decrease by 200,000 barrels last week, continuing the destocking trend. ⑵ Distillate fuel inventories are expected to decrease by 1.7 million barrels, and gasoline inventories by 1.9 million barrels. ⑶ Refinery capacity utilization is expected to rise slightly by 0.2 percentage points, from 88.6% the previous week. ⑷ Data from the American Petroleum Institute shows an even larger actual decrease: crude oil decreased by 4.02 million barrels, and gasoline by 6.35 million barrels. ⑸ Distillate fuel inventories plummeted by 4.36 million barrels, far exceeding market expectations, exacerbating the tight supply situation. ⑹ This survey was conducted before the weekly inventory report was released and covers forecasts from eight analytical institutions. ⑺ All inventory data are in millions of barrels, and refinery utilization rate changes are measured in percentage points. ⑻ The overall decline in inventories coupled with high refinery operating rates indicates a continued tight supply and demand situation in the energy market.
