LG Electronics announced on Friday that it has reached an agreement with US tech giant Nvidia to expand its collaboration in the physical artificial intelligence (AI) industry, including robotics and smart factories. In a press release, LG Electronics stated, "LG Electronics will join Nvidia's AI platform ecosystem to enhance its robotic capabilities." It noted that LG Electronics has been developing its own physical AI model based on Nvidia's humanoid model, Isaac Groot. LG Electronics stated that it agrees with Nvidia that collecting high-quality data is key to achieving physical AI, and both parties have agreed to expand their collaboration to facilitate data learning for robots. The company added that other areas of collaboration include developing next-generation smart factory solutions based on digital twin technology. LG Electronics also stated that it is seeking collaboration with Nvidia in the field of AI data centers, utilizing its cooling solutions.
