[SK Group and NVIDIA Reach AI Strategic Cooperation] ⑴ SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang held talks. ⑵ The two sides focused on cooperation plans for applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the manufacturing sector. ⑶ SK Group plans to build a manufacturing AI cloud system based on the NVIDIA Omniverse platform. ⑷ The two sides will jointly build an AI factory in South Korea equipped with 50,000 NVIDIA graphics processors. ⑸ SK Telecom and NVIDIA signed a memorandum of understanding for joint research and development of AI-based mobile network technology. ⑹ The partners will collaborate with companies such as Samsung Electronics to jointly develop AI-RAN, a core technology for sixth-generation mobile communications.
