[A-Shares Show Divergent Performance in October] ⑴ The A-share market closed October with all three major indices declining: the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.81%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.14%, and the ChiNext Index fell 2.31%. ⑵ The month's performance was clearly divergent. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.85% cumulatively, briefly breaking through the 4000-point mark; the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.1% cumulatively, and the ChiNext Index fell 1.56% cumulatively. ⑶ The Beijing 50 Index performed strongly, rising 1.89% in a single day and 3.54% cumulatively for the month. ⑷ Market activity slightly declined, with the total turnover of the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock exchanges at 2.3498 trillion yuan, a decrease of 114.5 billion yuan from the previous trading day. ⑸ Individual stocks outperformed the indices, with over 3700 stocks rising. ⑹ Innovative drug concept stocks collectively surged, with many stocks such as 3SBio, Shuta Shen, Zhong Sheng Pharmaceutical, Lianhuan Pharmaceutical, and Anglikang hitting their daily limit. (7) Artificial intelligence applications performed actively, with AI corpus and Sora concepts fluctuating upwards. Fushi Holdings, 360 Security Technology, and Aorui Technology hit their daily limit. (8) The battery sector continued its strong performance, with Tianji Shares achieving two consecutive daily limit increases, and Enjie Shares also hitting its daily limit. (9) The consumer sector saw rotation, with sectors such as liquor, film and television cinemas, and duty-free shops showing activity during the session. (10) Computing power hardware stocks generally corrected, with Shenghong Technology falling by more than 10% intraday, and Tianfu Communication, Foxconn Industrial Internet, New E-Sun, and Zhongji Xuchuang among the biggest losers. (11) The memory chip sector also retreated, with Montage Technology, Yunhan Chip City, Jiangbolong, Tuojing Technology, and Shennan Circuits leading the decline.
