On Friday, Google announced a partnership with Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom service provider, to offer Gemini AI services free of charge to Jio's more than 500 million users. The plan includes the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, extended access to NotebookLM learning and research tools, and 2TB of cloud storage. Google will provide the Google AI Pro plan to Jio users in phases, with each user's plan valued at approximately 35,100 rupees (about $396). The initial phase will offer 18 months of early access to young users aged 18 to 25 with unlimited 5G plans, before being made available to all Jio users.
