[According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, three EU countries do not support the position of most European countries calling for the use of frozen Russian funds to support Ukraine.] The report states: "Italy and France do not support transferring frozen Russian funds to Ukraine: if the International Court of Justice finds any potential claims by Moscow legitimate, both governments may worry about their financial obligations. Belgium also opposes this, as most of the frozen assets are currently on the European Clearing Bank platform in Brussels."
