Reporters learned from a press conference held by the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources on the 9th that the bureau has successfully drilled the "Donggaore 1" geothermal well in the Yellow River Delta region of Dongying. The well is 4002.17 meters deep, with a bottom temperature of 162 degrees Celsius and a wellhead water temperature of 138 degrees Celsius, making it the highest-temperature hydrothermal geothermal well known in East China. Through this exploration, Shandong has preliminarily delineated a high-temperature geothermal field covering nearly 40 square kilometers, with an estimated total heat storage equivalent to approximately 478 million tons of standard coal.
