European brokers: Trump's new tariffs are eroding America's reputation as a trustworthy nation.

Julia Khandoshko, CEO of European brokerage Mind Money, said that new U.S. trade tariffs are reshaping global expectations, impacting inflation prospects and risk sentiment, as they add a new layer of uncertainty for investors.
Khandoshko stated Wednesday afternoon, "With these tariffs, Trump has opened a new Pandora's box with no good exit. The fact is, a tariff war is a conflict with no winners, but everyone is a loser. All of this greatly increases global insecurity and undermines the United States' standing as a trustworthy nation every day. "
"Political and legal risks will only increase, and increase significantly."
Despite President Trump's insistence on raising tariffs to 15%, the new global tariffs took effect on Tuesday at 10%. This followed a Supreme Court ruling last Friday that he lacked the authority to impose many of the tariffs he had imposed on specific countries since April of last year.
Against this backdrop, Khandoshko stated that markets are being forced to reset their expectations. She said, "The new tariffs mean this system will last longer. However, she believes the current economic impact is mild. She said, "The bull market in stocks isn't over, but risk appetite is declining significantly. Speaking of Europe, she believes the region's main problem is a "lack of ambition." She said, "There is also a lack of a unified foreign policy and strategic autonomy. The region, once a GDP leader, is now easily influenced by external decisions and lacks a proactive stance in such trade disputes."
