[Slovakia's Consumer Confidence Index Rises Slightly in February but Remains Below Long-Term Average] ⑴ Slovakia's consumer confidence index rose slightly to -25 in February from -26.7 in January, but remains 5.1 points below the long-term average. ⑵ Households' view of the overall economic outlook became less pessimistic, rising from -42.6 to -38.2; expectations regarding savings also improved from -20.8 to -16.2. ⑶ In contrast, households' expectations regarding future financial conditions deteriorated further, falling from -11.7 to -12.3; concerns about unemployment rose from 31.5 to 33.3. ⑷ In other sub-categories, consumers remained pessimistic about large purchases, but the index rose slightly from -19.7 to -19.2; inflation expectations rose slightly from 30.6 to 30.7.
