[Shanghai Releases Detailed Rules for the Management of Funds to Promote Innovation in Modern Shipping Services] The Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau recently issued the "Detailed Rules for the Management of Funds to Promote Innovation in Modern Shipping Services in Shanghai." The rules stipulate that project funds will primarily support the following aspects: promoting the innovative development of shipping technology, which means encouraging the innovative application of advanced technologies in ports, shipping, airports, aviation, cruise ships, safety, digitalization, green technologies, and other related fields; and promoting the innovative development of high-end shipping services, which means encouraging breakthroughs in high-end shipping services and encouraging participation in the formulation and promotion of international shipping governance, including rules, standards, indices, contract templates, or standard texts related to international shipping and aviation.
