[National Development and Reform Commission: A Batch of National-Level Special Plans Expected to be Released in the First Half of This Year, Focusing on Key Areas and Tasks of the 15th Five-Year Plan Outline] April 17 – On April 17, the State Council Information Office held a series of press conferences on the theme of "Starting the 15th Five-Year Plan," introducing the relevant situation regarding promoting high-quality economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Chen Lei, Director of the Development Strategy and Planning Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that various parties are currently accelerating the compilation of a batch of national-level special plans to refine and implement the key areas and tasks of the 15th Five-Year Plan Outline. These plans focus on achieving the goal of basically realizing socialist modernization by 2035, including plans for new industrialization, digital China, agricultural and rural modernization, and a beautiful China; adapting to the stage-specific characteristics of development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, plans are being compiled for future industries, expanding consumption, population development, and new energy systems; and focusing on people's livelihood, plans are being compiled for employment priority, education development, national health, equalization of basic public services, and social security. Special plans for key groups such as the protection and development of people with disabilities will also be compiled.
