[New Progress in the Development of China's Domestic Large Aircraft: C929 in Steady Design Phase] To date, the domestically produced C919 large passenger aircraft has accumulated over 150,000 hours of safe operation, carrying over 8 million passengers and serving 26 cities. At the 4th China Air Transport Association Aviation Convention exhibition area, two C919 models are on display, representing new aircraft models currently under development. One is a shortened version, designed to meet the civil aviation transportation needs of high-altitude regions; the other is an extended version, with nearly 80 more seats than the already delivered models.
