On October 30th local time, Elon Musk publicly stated on his social media platform X that Bill Gates is "funding those who target me" while still holding a "massive short position" in Tesla. Musk's statement was a response to a post by podcast host Katie Miller. Miller had previously posted that the Gates Foundation is one of the core sponsors of Kara Swisher's podcast, attaching screenshots of advertising platforms as evidence. The screenshots show that the Gates Foundation plans to run promotional ads on Swisher's show "On with Kara Swisher" on August 24, 2026.
